Back in it!

"If the biggest thing in your life is you, you will not make an impact." - Jason Stonehouse

Tonight I get back out there. My passion is people.  People and their stories.  Tonight begins a journey that I have post poned for a few years.  My story has many parts, but this part of my story began in Vegas.  Most of you know, I was given the opportunity to go into brothels, strip clubs and porn conventions with the message that Jesus loves all and that we were there to love on the men and women working in these places. What an honor it was to be in these places. Yes, an honor. You cant just show up in someones space expecting them to trust you, without knowing you.  No matter where you work or how you live, there is trust that needs to be built. The stories are endless of the beautiful people and stories I experienced living there.  That part of my story gets to continue tonight.

Tonight I will be joining an organization who's mission is to "Through urban outreach and anti-trafficing efforts, empowers the at-risk and unreached, to make a break from the past and build foundations for the future." This next weekend the super bowl will be here in Minnesota. Now, I'm not going to argue about if the super bowl ramps up the sex trafficking that already happens.  I am well aware of the articles going around.  That is not the point.  The point is that whether the super bowl is here or not, it happens, and its not ok.  So, this week, there has been a safe place created for women and men to come when they have been rescued from being sold, this week.  Beds and resources.  I am not exactly sure how it will all work yet but I get to be apart of it.  I will be at this location every night until the super bowl, ready to do whatever needs to be done to get these women/girls what they need.

This kind of thing is never a quick fix.  If and when girls show up, there is so much that they carry.  If you pray, pray that these girls will feel safe as they walk in the doors.  That they have been made for a purpose.  That they are loved and cared for.  That there practical needs are met, and that there can be recovery and healing in their lives.

I'm so grateful to continue my journey
